Administrative Office Technology

The mission of the Administrative Office Technology Program is to prepare individuals for employment in a variety of careers as an office professional. Students may select one of seven major areas of study-general office, information processing, accounting, administrative, medical and health information, medical administrative, and legal administrative. Individual learning modules geared specifically to each major area are integrated into the curriculum.

Assistant Animal Lab Technology

The mission of the Assistant Animal Laboratory Technology (AALT) Program is to prepare students for entry-level employment as technicians in a choice of two animal care career paths: Companion animals in a veterinary hospital or diagnostic laboratory setting, or Lab animals in a biomedical research facility setting.

Automotive Technology

The mission of this NATEF (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) accredited program is to prepare stu­dents for entry-level employment as automotive technicians. The program provides classroom instruction and hands-on training on the auto­motive systems and their functions. The eight areas of ASE certification are taught through theory, application, and co-op opportunities.

The program provides classroom instruction and hands-on training on the auto­motive systems and their functions. Aviation Maintenance Technology

The mission of the Aviation Maintenance Tecnhnology program is to train students for employment as Aviation Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance Mechan­ics. Using FAA approved classroom instruction and practical shop experience, students are taught to inspect, repair, service and overhaul airframes and powerplants of both large and small aircraft.

Avionics Maintenance Technology

The purpose of this 12-month program is to provide specialized experience for employ­ment in the field of Aviation Electronics. The course prepares individuals to test, trouble­shoot, maintain, replace and repair aviation elec­tronic systems and components of both large and small aircraft.

Barbering

The mission of the Barbering Program is to provide specialized classroom instruction and practical shop experience in preparation for employment in the field of Barbering.

Building Construction Technology

The mission of the Building Construction Tech­nology is to provide theory and hands-on train­ing that will qualify students for employment or advancement in building construction. Students erect framework including subflooring, sheathing, partitions, floor joists, studding and rafters. The curriculum also includes building preparation for trimming, installing molding, wood paneling, window sash, door frames, doors and hardware, as well as building stairs and laying floors.

Central Sterile Processing Technology

Central Sterile Processing is a critical component of healthcare facilities, ensuring that medical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained for patient safety. This course provides students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective sterile processing within healthcare settings.

Collision Repair Technology

The mission of the Collision Repair Technology Program is to train students for employment in the field of Collision Repair and Refinishing. Students learn to repair and refinish automobile and truck bodies. Instruction includes inspecting vehicles for damage; cutting, welding, and straightening sheet metal; and removing and replacing trim and glass. The refinishing portion offers students advanced painting techniques, single stage urethane, and base coat clear coat systems.

Computer Aided Design Technology

The mission of the Computer Aided Design Technology Program is to provide specialized classroom in­struction and practical experience in preparation for employment in the field. The course prepares individuals to assist engineers and architects in the design and drafting of electric circuits, maps, machines, and structures.

Computer Information Technology

This program is designed to consist of a combination of job simulated and live projects providing the student with real hands-on learning experiences. Students will be provided with a first-hand knowledge of the software, hardware, and operation of computers, network devices, wireless and other advanced technology used in industry today.

Cosmetology

The mission of the Cosmetology Program is to train students for employment as entry-level cosmetologists. Both theory and practical in­struction are given on hair care, hair styling, and skin care. Students are taught to cut, shampoo, and style hair and to manicure and sculpt nails. Skill techniques for developing and building a loyal and satisfied clientele are an integral part of the course.

Criminal Justice: Correctional Officer

Dental Assisting

The mission of the Dental Assisting Program is to provide specialized classroom instruction and practical experience in preparation for employ­ment in a dental office. Students will perform limited clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. Clinical duties may include equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures.

Dental Laboratory Technology

The mission of Dental Laboratory Technology Program is to provide individualized classroom instruction and practical shop experience for employment in the field. Students accomplish mastery by using precision dental instruments, developing accuracy techniques, using artistic ability and paying attention to minute detail.

Diesel Powered Equipment Technology

The mission of Diesel Powered Equipment Technol­ogy Program is to train individuals for employment as diesel service technicians and mechanics. Also known as bus and truck mechanics and diesel en­gine specialists, the individuals repair and maintain the diesel engines that power transportation equip­ment such as heavy trucks, buses, and locomo­tives.

Digital Graphic Design

The mission of the Digital Graphic Design Program is to meet the needs of business and industry by preparing students for employment as entry-level graphic designers and updating the skills of existing personnel.

Electric Vehicle Production Technology

The Electric Vehicle Production Technology program is an 864-hour program designed as a pathway for students to be prepared for careers in electric vehicle production facilities. This program meets the electric vehicle manufacturers' entry-level production technician needs. Graduates will complete lectures and hands-on instructional activities that equip them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities of advanced manufacturing processes and procedures related to EV manufacturing.

Electronics Technology

The mission of the Electronics Technology Program is to provide diversified training for employment in the electronics field. Students are taught to repair electronic equipment and devices using troubleshooting techniques and schemat­ics. They become skilled at using test equipment such as multimeters, signal generators, oscilloscopes and basic hand tools. Emphasis is placed on automation and robot­ics.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, And Refrigeration Technology

This 16-month program provides individual­ized classroom instruction and practical shop experience to train students for employment as entry-level technicians. Students learn to repair, troubleshoot, and maintain the operating condi­tion of residential and commercial air condition­ing systems and refrigeration, heat pumps, elec­tric and gas heating, solar and hydronic heating, ice machines and humidifiers.

Heavy Equipment Technology

The Heavy Equipment Technology program provides practical experience in the repair and maintenance of engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, clutch and transmissions, hydraulics, drivelines and axles, frame and suspension systems, steering systems, brake systems, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Hospitality And Culinary Technology

The Hospitality and Culinary Technology program is designed to provide the student with a thorough understanding of the best practices and skills used in the management, marketing and operations of retail stores, food services, lodging, attractions, recreation events and travel-related services.

Industrial Maintenance Repair

The mission of the Industrial Mainte­nance Repair Program is to prepare students for employment in the industrial maintenance field. The program includes theory and skill training in welding, electronics, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration, mechanical maintenance and machine tool technology.

Information Technology And Infrastructure Management

Machine Tool Technology

The purpose of this 16 month course is to prepare students for employment in the machining industry. Instruction includes blueprint reading, using precision measuring instruments, and setting up and operating such machines as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, power saws, surface grinders, and computer-controlled equipment.

Massage Therapy

Mechatronics

The Mechatronics technician ensures all components of a manufacturing operation that includes mechanics, electronics, control engineering, and computing are working properly. Mechatronics may also be called electromechanical systems or control and automation engineering/technician.

Nursing Aide

The Nursing Aide/CNA course is approved by Tennessee Department of Health. This course will prepare the student to become a certified nursing assistant. Upon completion of the Nursing Aide course, the student is eligible to take the CNA test administered by D&S Diversified Technologies for the Tennessee Department of Health. Employment opportunities include: Assisted Living facilities, Home Health, Long-Term care facilities, hospitals, and physician's office and clinics.

Patient Care Technology

Pharmacy Technology

The mission of the Pharmacy Technology Program is to train students for employment in retail and wholesale pharmacies, and home health care and long-term care facilities. They will perform as pharmacy technicians or assistants under the direct supervision of the pharmacist. Students will learn to become skilled in medications, prescrip­tion preparation, reconstitution and IV preparation.

Practical Nursing

The mission of the Practical Nursing Program is to provide technical training to prepare members of the community and surrounding areas to become compe­tent providers of health care in hospitals, clinics, long-term health care facilities, and related industries. The program provides formal classroom instructions, active clinical participation, and skill lab demonstrations.

Pre-Practical Nursing (De Only)

The mission of the Practical Nursing Program is to provide technical training to prepare members of the community and surrounding areas to become compe­tent providers of health care in hospitals, clinics, long-term health care facilities, and related industries. The program provides formal classroom instructions, active clinical participation, and skill lab demonstrations.

Retail, Hospitality, And Tourism Technology

Truck Driving

The mission of the Truck Driving Program is to prepare students for entry-level employment as tractor-trailer drivers by providing the identi­fied knowledge and performance skills neces­sary to pass the Commercial Driver's test. The course consists of 222 hours of intensive class­room and behind-the-wheel training.

Welding Technology

The purpose of this 12 month course is to provide individualized classroom instruction and practical shop experience to prepare students for employment in the field of Welding. The course prepares individuals to perform vari­ous duties in construction, production line as­sembly, and repair and maintenance. Instruction includes techniques of welding, blueprint reading, and cutting and fabricating of various metals.
