The mission of the Administrative Office Technology Program is to prepare individuals for employment in a variety of careers as an office professional. This program provides essential training in business office procedures, customer service skills, business communications, keyboarding and document processing, proofreading and editing, business etiquette, problem solving, business writing, records and file management, and business computer skills.

The aim of this program is to provide trainees with a thorough understanding of the methods of servicing and repairing automotive vehicles. Cosmetology

Personal beauty service is recognized as a necessity by most people today, and performance of this service can be satisfactory rendered only by operators who possess the skills and knowledge of the trade and who are adept at social courtesies. A state license is required for the practice of beauty culture, and a formal examination must be passed before this license can be obtained.

Culinary Arts

The mission of the Culinary Arts program is to provide the opportunity to build knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are essential for successful entry-level employment in the food service field through technical instruction and training. This program is designed to meet the educational needs of individuals desiring to work as chefs and head cooks. Students are involved in food services, sanitation, food and safety, nutrition and menu planning, as well as administrative/personnel management.

Electrical And Plumbing Construction Technology

The Electrical and Plumbing Construction Technology Program is to prepare students for a career as an electrician and/or plumber in the fast growing construction industry. Graduates of the Electrical and Plumbing Construction Technology program will possess a number of valuable skills such as electrical theory, residential/commercial print reading and wiring techniques, load calculations, conduit bending, National Electric Code, plumbing fixtures and installation, pipes and fittings, water

Health Science Education

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, And Refrigeration

Classroom and shop learning experiences include theory, application, and service of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Included are print reading, basic electronics, pneumatics, math, programmable controllers, refrigerant containment certification (EPA certification), and heat pump technology. Upon completion, students are prepared to enter jobs as service technicians in a variety of domestic, industrial, and commercial settings.

Industrial Maintenance (IMS)

The Industrial Maintenance (IMS) program will educate and train students in all key areas in the field of Industrial Maintenance. The students in this program will acquire proficiencies in set up, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment. The program offers the student an E-Learn curriculum with a majority of hands on training that will evolve to keep pace with the rapid growth of technology in the field of Industrial Maintenance.

Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics

This course provides students with the fundamental knowledge and hands-on skills needed for careers in industrial maintenance and mechatronics. Emphasis is placed on understanding and troubleshooting the mechanical, electrical, and control systems commonly used in modern manufacturing and industrial environments.

Information And Infrastructure Technology

Machine Tool Technology

The work of machine tool operators, machinists, tool and die makers, industrial maintenance personnel and those in related occupations requires skill in machining metal by such machine tools as milling machines, lathes, grinders, drill presses, CNC milling machines, EDM machines and the ability to use precision measuring tools. The course in machine shop is designed to give students experience on a variety of machine tools similar to those on which they will work after graduation.

Mechatronics

This course provides students with the fundamental knowledge and hands-on skills needed for careers in industrial maintenance and mechatronics. Emphasis is placed on understanding and troubleshooting the mechanical, electrical, and control systems commonly used in modern manufacturing and industrial environments.

Metal Working Technology

Nursing Aide

A 120-hour training program designed to provide basic training for a nurse aide to function in a nursing home or health care facility, improve the quality of care, and to increase the positive perception of the nursing assistant. Working closely with patients, you are responsible for basic care services such as bathing, grooming and feeding patients, assisting nurses with medical equipment, and checking patient vital signs.

Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting

The mission of the Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting Program is to prepare the student for a career in the health care field in the areas of Certified Nursing Assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy and Medical Assisting. The goal would be to provide the learning experiences including the technical instruction and skill development to enable graduates of the program to obtain the knowledge and experience necessary to secure licensure and become gainfully employed.

Practical Nursing

Students in practical nursing study basic nursing skills and such related subjects as body structure and function in wellness and illness, nutrition, pharmacology, obstetrics, and psychology. The clinical experience provides supervised nursing care of medical, surgical, obstetric, and pediatric patients. Both classroom work and clinical experiences are such that upon completion of the course, the graduate is eligible for written examination by the State Board of Nursing.

Pre-Practical Nursing (De Only)

Students will learn the various basic and advanced welding/pipefitting techniques that are common in the industries: Shielded Metal, Gas Metal, Gas Tungsten and Flux Cored Arc Welding, cutting techniques, grinding, metal preparation, symbols and blueprint reading, metalurgy, layout, fabrication, pipe/valves/fitting installation, power tools, and measurement techniques.
