Materials

An introduction to the nature and properties of materials. Topics include atomic bonding, material structures, phase di- agrams, heat treatments, metals, ceramics, plastics, and com- posites. Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to identify, classify, and/ or describe a material and to solve for a single unknown material variable. (on demand)
