Animal Models in Biomedical Research

This course looks at the use of laboratory animals, recreational/companion animals, and food-producing animals in biomedical research concerning human and animal health and diseases. Topics such as basic biology, common uses in biomedical research, and unique applications of selected species will be emphasized. In addition, this course will talk about the advantages and limitations of given models and regulations of biomedical uses of animals.
