This course introduces human anatomy and physiology and in- cludes concepts related to basic chemistry; fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base balance; functions of cells, tissues, organs, and systems; pathophysiology; and associated medical terminolo- gy. Emphasis is placed on applying content to signs, symptoms, and treatments; and situations commonly seen by paramedics.
